Hike Runyon Canyon: CHECK!

Every time I visit LA I put “go to Runyon Canyon for a hike” on my to do list. That box remained unchecked for many years until a recent work trip to LA. I was very last minute … read: I booked an 8pm fight at 1pm and left work to go home and pack. After terrorizing my closet for 4 solid outfits, I ambitiously tossed a pair of sneakers and some work out gear in my carry on. Let’s just say I was uber grateful that I had just done laundry.

Runyon Canyon Park is a 160-acre public park that’s known for great hiking, nature trials and the occasional celebrity sighting. Get some much needed sunshine, burn a few calories, clear my head while enjoying unparalleled view of LA with the possibility of running into a reality “star” or a famous Jennifer (Lopez, Garner, Aniston, Hudson – either will do)? Yes! I am here for it.

New Delhi India

By the time I’d arrived in New Delhi, I had already been in India for 5 days. I was sick (combination of Delhi Belly and taking the wrong meds to get better) but the trip was almost over so I wanted to take in as much as I could. I rallied to see the city.

Create and Cultivate: Dallas

I attended the Create and Cultivate conference for the first time in January and I was excited for a few reasons – to escape the winter for a moment (yay!), visit a new city and attend a conference for entrepreneurial-minded creatives.  To add to my excitement, Create and Cultivate had asked me to speak on a panel during the conference called “The Art of the Pitch: How to present, sell and negotiate your big ideas.”

It wasn’t just my first time at this particular conference, it was my first time visiting Dallas and although I didn’t get a chance to explore too much, the city impressed me. Dallas was more cosmopolitan than I expected. Chic people (every woman looked like a fashion blogger), great dining (visit Filament if you get the chance) and beautiful weather to boot!
